Responsibilities
  • Supports the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor in training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating staff, and overseeing department operations; assume supervisory duties in their absence.
  • Assists with project implementation, vendor coordination, contract development, and obtaining quotes for facility maintenance and repairs to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective completion.
  • Inspects, maintains, and performs preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), shop equipment, outdoor fixtures, and station equipment; perform minor welding, painting, carpentry, and facility repairs as needed.
  • Coordinates and conducts weekly/monthly team meetings, manage work orders through MaintainX software, and oversees quality control of completed tasks of designated staff.
  • Ensures compliance with annual inspections, hazardous material disposal, and safe operation standards for all facilities and equipment.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of maintenance supplies and materials through electronic systems.
  • Plans and assists with room layouts, setups, and support for special events.
  • Installs, renovates, and maintains bus stops and associated fixtures (benches, sunshades, trashcans, anchor plates).
  • Builds and maintains positive working relationships using principles of good customer service; report incidents/accidents and equipment issues promptly and accurately.
  • Operates all tools, equipment, and machinery safely, reporting any unsafe conditions; wear personal protective equipment and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Addresses facility issues and emergencies as they arise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
