Job Summary The Lead Facilities Management Engineer oversees the Junior FM engineers, supervisors who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems. This position is responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed.  Coordinates and integrates maintenance engineering functions with those of the design, maintenance, engineering, and operations departments. Job Responsibilities 1 Develops, implements, and directs a robust preventive and predictive maintenance program for all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. Supervises the timely execution of minor repairs and defects across equipment, plants, and buildings, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal resource utilization. Executes and oversees renovation projects for existing facilities, ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines and budget constraints. Monitors and addresses repair defect issues across plants, equipment, and buildings, maintaining high-quality maintenance standards with minimal rework. Ensures prompt response to all "on-call" maintenance tasks with minimal supervision, prioritizing critical tasks to minimize disruption to operations. Maintains meticulous records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, preventive maintenance schedules, and renovation projects, ensuring accessibility for audits and future reference. Job Responsibilities 2 Facilitates renovation projects by documenting pertinent details, approvals, and expenditures, particularly for material purchases and budget compliance. Ensures visibility of routine check-up schedules and maintenance reports, keeping maintenance staff informed and updated on task priorities and deadlines. Conducts regular site visits and inspections to assess maintenance needs, ensure adherence to safety standards, and minimize downtime due to maintenance activities. Oversees the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all maintenance team members, enforcing company safety protocols and standards. Manages and schedules maintenance activities, setting clear goals, distributing workloads effectively, and ensuring performance targets are met through proper performance management. Performs or directs engineering evaluations and studies on existing facilities and systems, identifying necessary upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and control. Provides on-the-job training and coaching to maintenance team members, ensuring continuous skill development and adherence to company standards. Monitors team performance, provides feedback, and implements strategies for performance improvement and professional development. Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in managing teams and overseeing complex projects. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and best practices in facility and equipment maintenance. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels. Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, develop effective solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Knowledge in building facility maintenance (Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Mechanical and etc.) Knowledge of local codes and regulations Knowledge on the different materials, tools and equipment Knowledge of methods used in the maintenance of building equipment. ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
