Description Join our dynamic Brew team and help create our kombucha by brewing, fermenting, and finishing products with precision, flavor, and carbonation. As a Lead Fermentation Technician, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring adherence to strict procedures and protocols while supporting the team and company goals. We are actively seeking a Fermentation Lead for the following opening(s): Thursday - Sunday (4/10s): Dayshift 7am – 6:30pm - $28–$30/hour, plus an additional $3/hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Brew and finish kombucha according to predetermined recipes. Follow all Food Safety Management System, GMP, and SQF standards. Review SOPs & SSOPs and perform brewing operations accordingly. Complete daily process checklists and End-of-Day (EOD) reports. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas. Contribute to continuous improvement projects in brewing operations. Conduct daily interdepartmental check-ins using company communication platforms. Maintain accurate tracking records of all brewing processes, including OBEER, logs, inventory counts, and batch tickets. Perform daily quality assurance and quality control checks on fermenting, raw, and finished kombucha. Work closely with the Fermentation Supervisor to oversee staffing and departmental needs. Train new Fermentation Technicians and act as a resource for the team. Attend mandatory departmental and company-wide meetings. Adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events and perform effectively under pressure. Comply with all safety policies outlined in the Humm Kombucha Safety Manual. Perform all physical requirements of the role. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Ideal Candidate: (optional to add, but can help attract the right candidates) Previous experience in fermentation or beverage production preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months brewing experience in a professional brewing/fermentation environment or manufacturing/food processing experience considered Strong verbal communication & organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and react well under pressure. Ability to follow precise instructions Manual labor experience Willingness to learn Proficient in basic computer skills; spreadsheets, email & word processing. Google Suite experience preferred Be able to obtain forklift operator certification ____________________________________________________________________________________ WORKING CONDITIONS: Lift 55 pounds frequently Work at heights while lifting Loud, acidic and humid working environment Indoor, outdoor and refrigerated environments in all weather conditions Working with forklifts, pallet jacks, high powered pumps, chemicals, extreme temperature liquids, heavy equipment Work on your feet for 10 hours daily Flexible to work all shifts due to production needs including split, nights, weekends, evenings, graveyard, Holidays and on call
