JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Field Engineer to oversee the installation and commissioning of advanced Audio Visual (AV) systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in leading AV technologies and the ability to lead and manage a team of installers on-site to ensure successful project execution.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven hands-on experience with Crestron, QSC, Cisco, Polycom, and similar AV systems.
  • Strong skills in rack termination, installation, programming, and testing of AV equipment.
  • Experience leading and managing field installation teams effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and project documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site in New York City and travel as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications related to AV technology platforms (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, QSC Certifications).
  • Familiarity with networked AV systems and IP networking concepts.
  • Experience with video conferencing and collaboration system deployments.
  • Background in large commercial AV projects is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, programming, testing, and commissioning of AV systems including Crestron, QSC, Cisco, Polycom, and other major AV platforms.
  • Perform and supervise rack termination, cable management, and device installation to ensure quality and system reliability.
  • Manage and guide a team of field installers, coordinating daily on-site activities and maintaining project schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning to ensure system performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate installation documentation, system configuration records, and site reports.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians and installers.
