Sitting at the heart of our Financial Operations team, you will bridge the gap between transactional data and financial integrity. You will own the day-to-day lifecycle for a portfolio of distribution partners (merchants) and underwriters. Key Responsibilities Partner Settlement Execution: Manage daily, weekly, and monthly settlement cycles. You will prepare and validate partner invoices/statements (covering premiums, commissions, and adjustments) and reconcile them against internal subledgers (BigQuery), NetSuite, and bank activity. * Underwriter Reporting: Prepare carrier bordereaux and settlement statements. You will ensure net premium payables and claims offsets are accurate and aligned with carrier contract terms. * Cash Application & Collections: Support timely cash application for remittances within local banks and assist in the collections workflow for overdue partner balances. * Controls & SOP Management: Execute and document rigorous controls (checklists, tie-outs). You will manage relationships with local accounting firms to ensure fiscal note flows (NFs) and financial reporting are seamless. * Process Innovation: Identify recurring "break" patterns in data and propose automated fixes. You will partner with Data Ops and Product teams to test and implement system improvements. What You Will Bring * Expertise: 5–7 years of progressive experience in financial operations and reporting within LatAm (specifically Brazil and/or Uruguay). * Data Mastery: Advanced spreadsheet skills and high data literacy. You are comfortable reconciling multi-source transactional data (ERP, Bank, PSP, and Data Warehouse). * Compliance Mindset: High standards for audit trails, controls, and internal stakeholder management. * Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with US GAAP and local tax regulations in Brazil/Uruguay. * Background in Insurance Operations (Bordereau reporting, premium vs. commission offsets). * Experience with multi-currency settlements and principal/agent netting. Tools & Systems * ERP: NetSuite * Data: BigQuery / Data Warehouse * Close Management: FloQast * Analysis: Advanced Excel / Google Sheets WHY COVER GENIUS?   Cover Genius not only cares about being the best in our industry, we care about our team.
