What impact you’ll make:
As a member of the Gas Power Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, the Inventory process specialist is the key finance partner across gas, steam, generator, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), and repairs value streams. This role is responsible for leading the inventory process, analytics, and reporting as part of the Supply Chain Operational Finance team to drive improvements to core finance processes enabling efficiencies to downstream operating partners.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING (BASIC QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance / equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Relevant experience in the field of finance
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and practices, including US GAAP and inventory
  • Prior knowledge of manufacturing system ERPs (i.e. SAP, Oracle, BAAN) and with digital and automation tools such as Tableau, RPA
  • Fluent English knowledge is essential

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert (SME) in key supply chain and financial processes related to inventory and standard costing including policies, procedures, closing and reporting
  • Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency and controls around actual factory inventory, inventory turns, and inventory aging & obsolescent risks.
  • Execute monthly closing activities to ensure compliance to USGAAP and Statutory requirements, communicates inventory monthly results to Factory Finance manager.
  • Actively participates in Obsolesence Inventory planning, pacing, presents results to factory finance leader and Site Leader.
  • Support controllership and sites to enhance key controls, roles & responsibilities, and reporting around physical inventories, cycle counts, slow moving/obsolescent inventory, and FIFO
  • Initiate and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytics and reporting integrity around inventory actuals, forecasting, inventory turns, FIFO and slow-moving inventory/obsolescence
  • Able to partner with key stakeholders to develop harmonized standard global operating procedures in complex matrixed, operating environment
  • Communicate and align global calendar to inventory and standard costing rhythms across GSC Finance teams (annual PIs, budget, etc)
  • Able to effectively communicate current state and future state process & controls, develop roadmap and execute roadmap actions to align system/process differences across global supply chain to drive harmonized global standard work.
