Description
Lead Finish Carpenter / Lead Cabinet Installer $35–$49/hr | Full-Time | In-Person | Brooklyn, NY (Jobs in Brooklyn & Manhattan) This is a LEAD role — not an entry-level or helper position Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn is a family-run, locally owned company known for high-end craftsmanship, professionalism, and consistency. Our reputation is built on 135+ five-star reviews, long-term client relationships, and respect for the trade. We run organized, well-planned jobs — not chaos. Our installers work in high-quality residential kitchens across Brooklyn and Manhattan, often in apartments and occupied homes where precision, communication, and teamwork matter as much as technical skill. This is not a volume shop and not a place for shortcuts. We value installers who: Take pride in doing things the right way Communicate clearly with teammates and homeowners Show up prepared, organized, and professional Understand that great kitchens are built by strong teams — not egos We offer steady, year-round work, clear scopes, realistic schedules, and leadership that respects experienced craftsmen. If you’re a senior installer who wants to work with other professionals who care about quality and teamwork, this is a company where your skill and attitude will be appreciated. Who This Role Is For You are: A senior carpenter with strong cabinet and finish-work experience Comfortable leading jobs, not just assisting Skilled with miters, scribing, fillers, panels, crown, and trim Trusted to make on-site decisions without hand-holding Professional with homeowners and respectful of occupied homes Core Responsibilities Lead full kitchen cabinet installations (new cabinets + refacing projects) Execute high-level finish carpentry, including: Mitered trim & molding Crown molding Scribing to walls/ceilings Custom fillers, panels, and modifications Read plans/elevations and take precise measurements Problem-solve real-world site conditions (out-of-square walls, uneven floors) Direct and mentor installers/helpers Communicate clearly with homeowners and project managers Maintain a clean, professional job site (protection + daily cleanup) Inspect work for accuracy and craftsmanship before sign-off Required Experience (Non-Negotiable) Minimum 3–5+ years cabinet installation / finish carpentry experience Proven experience leading installations or crews Strong woodworking fundamentals and professional jobsite practices Ability to work independently and manage a full install day Experience working in occupied residential homes Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation Own professional-grade hand tools (specialty tools provided) Important Note This is NOT a helper position. If your background is primarily handyman work or general maintenance, this will not be the right fit.
