JOB OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Floral Designer to lead our shop’s day-to-day operations and creative design team. This dual-role position blends hands-on floral artistry with team leadership, retail operations, inventory oversight, and exceptional customer interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5+ years of floral design experience (retail or studio)
• Prior retail flower shop leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong design skills in sympathy, everyday, weddings, and events
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• Confidence in managing schedules, vendors, and ordering
• Familiarity with floral POS platforms
• Must be able to work holidays and peak floral seasons
• California Driver’s License preferred for delivery oversight

• Design and execute daily orders, sympathy arrangements, custom requests, and seasonal displays
• Lead and mentor a team of designers and support staff
• Manage staffing, workflow, scheduling, and holiday production
• Ensure every arrangement meets brand standards for freshness, quality, and creativity
• Assist with flower and supply ordering and inventory rotation
• Support customer service efforts (in-store, phone, and online orders)
• Collaborate with ownership on promotions, merchandising, and community outreach
• Maintain a clean, inspiring retail environment aligned with seasonal trends
