Greet guests with a smile and pleasant disposition in a timely manner. Must be familiar with the menu, daily specials, and preparation of foods and prices. Use suggestive selling (i.e., cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.). Take customer orders and accurately input the order into the computer. Observe and anticipate guest’s needs, keeping table cleared between courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal. Present check for payment when all guests’ needs have been met. Complete assigned side work and additional daily tasks. Inform immediate supervisor if situations arise with guests or fellow employees that cannot be handled directly. Serve table completely, using trays and covers on food, serving all sides and accompaniments in a timely, efficient manner according to all Standards and Sequence of Service. Supervisory Responsibilities To assist with cashier/host duties as needed To assign sections in a fair manner based on consistent rotation To assist with refunds and minor complaints To assist with weekly ordering and inventory To assist with scheduling as needed Delegate side work and additional daily tasks as needed. Help provide training for new servers/host/cashiers or bussers BRING US YOUR BEST. Two (2) years’ experience as a server in a dining establishment. Food service experience Outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality. Knowledge of up-selling techniques. Exceptional work habits. Ability to sustain a high level of professionalism. Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with guest issues. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests at all levels. Highly organized and detail oriented. Knowledgeable of menu to include alcoholic beverages that are available.
