About the role: Responsible for delivering analytical support, relating to airport wide strategic planning. This will include but not limited to traffic forecasting and performance analysis, identify market trends, planning parameters and traffic growth drivers by utilizing both internal and external data sources, engage with stakeholders where necessary. Key responsibilities Setting up database for airport wide medium to long term forecast by identifying market drivers, compiling historical data, planning assumptions with adequate granularity where required for developing Business Intelligence (Bl) capability. Setting up working group amongst stakeholders (Internal and External) for input parameters that feeds into long term strategic traffic forecast and planning related studies such as simulation, master plan, Design Day• Flight Schedule (DDFS) preparation and strategic capacity planning studies. Review historical traffic data relevant for current forecasting methodologies either developed in-house or via external consultants for medium to long term forecast and to build models using the data compiled. Perform Air Traffic performance assessment by reviewing actual and forecasted statistics on weekly and monthly basis in order to ensure forecast accuracy. Develop strategic and analytical case studies on long term planning projects/business requirements to support department objectives and other QR stakeholders. Conduct what-If scenarios on MATAR's long term strategic planning requirements using tools such as BEONTRA, Tableau, PowerBI or similar platforms to prepare management ready presentations. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. About you: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience. Air traffic forecasting experience including market and strategic planning, predictive modeling, performance tracking, and data analytics. Exposure working with airport capacity planning software such as BEONTRA, CAST EXPRESS. Strong executive presence and analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Understanding of advance analytical techniques and static modelling using Excel or similar tools. High quality communication (both written and oral) with a broad range of people, at different levels within and outside of the organization. Basic understanding of Business Intelligence strategies.
