We’re looking for an expert deeply versed in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) who is passionate about leveraging advanced cloud technologies to propel our financial services clients to new heights.
In this prominent role based in London, you’ll be vital in directing and executing sophisticated GCP-based infrastructure projects. As our Lead GCP Systems Engineer, your strategic insights and technical prowess will play a crucial role in scaling, securing, and optimizing cloud systems that service not only finance but also healthcare and technology sectors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong background in containerization technologies like Google Kubernetes Engine or similar products, service mesh technologies like Istio. Experience in Google Cloud ecosystem is preferred
- Expertise in automation tools such as Terraform, Github Actions or similar, integrating security into DevOps processes
- Demonstrated leadership in growing and guiding DevOps teams within dynamic project environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in London for hands-on project management and client interfacing
Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment and management of a large container runtime platform using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Anthos Service Mesh, and other related Google Cloud Platform technologies
- Drive the team expansion and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in cloud and DevOps practices
- Facilitate collaborative and agile engagements with product owners and Google representatives to optimize product functionality through DevOps best practices
- Oversee and streamline the transition of financial institutions from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing efficiency
