We’re looking for a Lead Grounds Maintenance Worker to help keep our grounds looking professional, safe, and mission-ready. In this role, you’ll not only maintain landscapes—you’ll lead by example, ensuring all grounds maintenance tasks meet contract standards while supporting daily operations. ---------------------------------------- POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for ensuring all grounds maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with contract standards and requirements, while assisting in overseeing daily operations and team performance. ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL DO GROUNDS MAINTENANCE LEADERSHIP * Ensure all grounds are well-maintained, manicured, and professional in appearance * Lead daily operations in the absence of the Grounds Supervisor * Communicate team concerns, needs, and updates to leadership HANDS-ON RESPONSIBILITIES * Mow, edge, and trim all improved grounds * Maintain sidewalks, curbs, and hard surfaces * Perform weed control and debris removal * Maintain desert landscaping and vacant lots * Irrigate grass, shrubs, and plants * Apply fertilizers and restore damaged lawn areas (seeding/sod) * Prune and trim shrubs and plants ADDITIONAL DUTIES * Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance * Support special projects as assigned * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU BRING QUALIFICATIONS * High School Diploma or GED * Minimum 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance and irrigation systems LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS * Valid Driver’s License (required) * Proof of COVID-19 vaccination * Ability to operate a vehicle for company business ---------------------------------------- BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS * General Background Check * Office of Inspector General (OIG) / CMMS Exclusions Check * Driving Record (MVR) * Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Security Screening ---------------------------------------- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work * Ability to work in outdoor and sometimes stressful conditions * Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE EXPECT * Professionalism and reliability—show up ready to work * Adherence to safety standards (OSHA, SDS, etc.) * Participation in trainings and team meetings * Respect for diversity and teamwork * Responsiveness via phone and communication tools * Proper care and cleanliness of company equipment and vehicles ---------------------------------------- WHY JOIN US?
