Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Greets and acknowledges all patients, guests and employees entering facilities with a smile and appropriate salutation (good morning, good afternoon, good evening).
  • Provides way-finding information to all guests, including specifics directions to each department within the facility.
  • Communicates services and capabilities of each facility.
  • Responds to incoming calls for directions and related information promptly, effectively, courteously. Provides coverage as needed for the front desk and lobby.
  • Maintains, rearranges, orders, and waters flowers for lobbies and other designated areas.
  • Monitors the magazines and lending library.
  • Disburses refunds for the vending machines. Issues tokens and valet parking passes when necessary.
  • Maintains lost and found.
  • Provides paging in emergency situations.
  • Keeps the entrance, motor lobby and driveway area of each facility free of trash and debris. Also responsible for maintaining GSA locker/storage room.
  • Directs patients and guests with complaints to the Bell Captain, or Guest Services Manager, when appropriate.
  • Assists patients and guests entering or exiting the facility with car doors and assists with luggage.
  • Assists patients with specific needs (bathrooms, wheelchairs, visually challenged).
  • Arranges patient transportation as needed; contacts transportation companies, airport shuttles, cabs, Senior Care Homes, Wesley Woods, etc. Locates lost patients, children, and family members.
  • Serves as liaison between patient relations, physicians, and Social Services, and Financial Counselors.
  • Functions as lead by assisting in directing the daily work flow of the Guest Services Associates and Transporters; monitoring activities, assisting in departmental training and orientation.
  • Functions as go to person in the absence of the supervisor or manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year experience in customer service related position.
