Our staffing services include administrative support, clerical, accounting, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, human resources, supervisory roles, utility services, water and wastewater plant operations, property and general services management, building and landscape maintenance, parks and recreation, and senior and community services. FCS specializes in municipal privatization through a task-based approach aimed at improving productivity and efficiency. JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Guest Services staff member is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk and supervising guest services representatives to ensure a welcoming, informative, and safe environment for all visitors. This role involves administrative duties, visitor engagement, event coordination, and supporting promotional efforts across platforms. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and passionate about the arts and public engagement. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Supervise and support guest service representatives in executing front desk duties, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and opening/closing the gallery. Oversee tracking and reporting of visitor attendance, events, and program data. Monitor gallery spaces to ensure artwork security and guest safety, while providing accurate exhibition information to the public. Coordinate and assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown; lead field trips and facilitate beginner art activities for children and adults. Assist with the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers and docents. Manage basic website updates, social media posts, and create promotional materials for events and programs. Process retail transactions and admission payments, maintain cleanliness of public areas, and perform other tasks as needed. Qualifications REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in art, communications, hospitality, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of customer service or gallery/museum experience, with some leadership or supervisory experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite). Comfort leading public tours and instructing basic art activities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring gallery spaces or leading tours. Frequent use of hands for handling materials, typing, and assisting with event setup. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for event equipment or gallery supplies. Comfortable speaking to groups of various sizes and ages in a gallery setting. Ability to navigate indoor and outdoor spaces and assist with light cleaning duties as needed.
