Description We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Montessori Guide to lead our Toddler community. You will be responsible for creating a "Prepared Environment" that respects the dignity of the child, fosters independence, and supports the rapid developmental changes of children aged [2 Years – 3 years]. As the Lead, you will model Montessori values, manage classroom assistants, and partner with parents to support each child’s holistic growth. Requirements Key Responsibilities The Prepared Environment: Maintain a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate classroom using authentic Montessori materials. Observation & Record Keeping: Conduct daily observations to track physical, social, and cognitive milestones. Use these insights to tailor individualized "lessons" for each child. Instruction: Guide toddlers in Practical Life skills (feeding, dressing), Language development, and "Grace and Courtesy" to foster a respectful community. Toilet Learning: Lead the transition to independence in toileting with a patient, non-punitive approach consistent with Montessori philosophy. Leadership: Supervise and mentor Classroom Assistants, ensuring the entire team is aligned with Montessori best practices. Parent Partnership: Facilitate parent-teacher conferences, write weekly updates, and provide parent education on implementing Montessori principles at home. Qualifications Certification: A Montessori Toddler (0–3) Credential from a MACTE-accredited program (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) is required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of lead teaching experience in a Montessori toddler environment preferred. Compliance: Ability to meet all state licensing requirements (Background check, CPR/First Aid, and required ECE units). Physical Stamina: Ability to frequently bend, sit on the floor, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

The Lead Guide is responsible for maintaining a prepared Montessori environment for toddlers aged 2-3, fostering independence, and modeling Montessori values. Key duties include conducting observations, providing individualized instruction in Practical Life and Language, and leading the transition to toileting independence.
