ABOUT US

Helix Contracting is a small to medium sized general contractor working in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) industry.
Our customers are municipal, provincial and federal governments throughout Ontario.
We are looking for individuals that possesses strong leadership skills, willing to travel to different job sites within North Western Ontario and complete the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge and experience in electrical, heavy lifting, construction painting, power tools, installation, concrete forming, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance person skills
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of workers in various construction projects
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to team members
  • Ensure that work is completed according to project specifications and timelines
  • Provide guidance and training to team members as needed
  • Oversee the use of power tools and equipment on job sites
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success
