ColdStar Solutions Inc., Langford Terminal, is recruiting a Produce Lead Hand. This role oversees a small team and is very hands-on in nature. Some of the tasks of the Lead Hand are receiving, shipping and quality control. This job is physical in nature and requires an individual who works well under pressure. The lead hand must be able to prioritize freight, build a team environment, and give clear directions. Proven leadership skills are an asset. In addition, being able to work on computers, answer emails, take operational instructions, finish paperwork, and attend meetings (as required) is essential.
This is a permanent full-time position, working five days per week, Monday – Friday, 5AM start

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Forklift certified and pallet-jack experience
• Ability to work in a cold environment
• Warehouse related experience, an asset
• Mid to high level of physical exertion is required
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse setting
• Strong communication skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to make confident decisions
• Proficient on a computer
• Detail & customer focused
• Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and ongoing improvement
