SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to join our landscaping team. This key role involves supervising and supporting day-to-day landscaping operations, ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of projects. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual who can take initiative, lead by example, and contribute to maintaining WhiteStar’s reputation for exceptional service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field
• Proven leadership ability and initiative
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
  Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Install wall blocks and pavers under the direction of the Foreman
• Execute softscape planting tasks efficiently
• Operate heavy equipment such as bobcats and excavators proficiently
• Operate all small landscaping equipment with skill
• Perform basic woodworking tasks
• Show a willingness to learn and complete administrative tasks (e.g., timesheets)
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors
• Collaborate effectively with the crew to meet project goals
• Rally and motivate the team to ensure timely task completion
• Act as a self-starter by mobilizing the crew when the Foreman is occupied
• Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
• Tow trailers or demonstrate a willingness to learn and obtain a trailer endorsement
