JOEL Theatrical Rigging, Canada’s leading theatrical rigging supplier, is looking for Lead Hand Machinist/Fabricator to join their Mississauga shop. If you are hardworking, reliable and willing to learn, we would like to hear from you!

SUMMARY

The Machinist/Fabricator is employed full-time for a guaranteed minimum of 40 workhours/week. Overtime hours are worked as required to meet project deadlines. Salary is dependent upon experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Works well independently and with a team
  • Proven experience of meeting deadlines
  • Self-starter, works efficiently and seeksout new tasks
  • Capable of regular heavy lifting andworking at heights
  • Experience operating welding equipment(MIG, ARC)
  • Experience with rigging and electrical control systems preferred
  • Proficient communication skills, written and spoken English
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License (G Class)

Responsibilities
  • Work as Lead Hand, taking responsibility on key tasks and supporting shop team
  • Identify/learn various building components across a variety of projects
  • Accurately interpret blueprints and fabricate according to specifications
  • Assisting shipping and receiving , unloading and loading trucks
  • Assembling rigging to move material and heavy equipment
  • Comply with all safety procedures
  • Maintain a good work ethic and positive attitude
  • Keep workspace clean, safe, free of hazards
