JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Lead Hand to join our team on the PM shift at our Mississauga facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, training, and allocating staff to meet daily production targets, while ensuring strict compliance with safety procedures. This is a hands-on leadership role, working alongside the team on the floor to maintain workflow and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership or lead hand experience.
  • Forklift certification is a strong asset.
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, email, logs).
  • Strong communication and team coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on, reliable, and capable of motivating a team in a fast-paced setting.
    This position is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, possess strong leadership qualities, and have a passion for working in a dynamic warehouse setting.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, direct, and support production staff during the PM shift.
  • Allocate labor and assign tasks to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Train new and existing employees on procedures, safety, and quality standards.
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
  • Monitor workflow, troubleshoot issues, and escalate concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are used efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Complete daily shift reports and communicate with other shifts for smooth transitions.
  • Operate machinery and equipment as required (forklift use is an asset).
