Job Requirements Roles and Responsibilities: Development, design, and implementation of EV charging system & controls Understand 2W EV charging system, different methods/modes & its associated components (connectors, cable). ● Develop and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for all kinds of Charger stations ● Oversee internal and third-party testing phases, ensuring compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, CE, and UL certifications. ● System Testing of Chargers both AC & DC Charging stations. ● Testing new OCPI & OCPP connections with network partners as per the agreed test plan. Update test plan in accordance with the new protocol versions. ● Knowledge on Electrical switchgear, power calculations & system architecture of Charging station. ● Troubleshoot and investigate issues during the test sessions with network partners and charger suppliers for seamless communication ● Conduct thorough testing for compliance with OCPP requirements outlined in GCM standard specifications to ensure reliability and performance. ● Document and follow up on integration test sessions including providing feedback to suppliers and/or to the relevant team(s) internally and/or externally. ● Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for OCPP protocols. ● Support the testing of protocol updates. Report bugs internally if any and provide internal & external feedback. ● Develop and continually improve testing methods through growing regression testing and assessing system test tools and methods. ● Create and maintain technical documentation/scope of work for OCPP implementations as per the organizations requirement. ● Perform troubleshooting of OCPI/OCPP interoperability related issues that occur in the field with the aim of resolving on the spot and documenting/tracking issues through resolution with the Software team. ● Document code, processes, and configurations to facilitate knowledge transfer. ● Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers to achieve project goals. Work Experience ● Lead design and development of EV chargers, manage product development processes, and engage with customers for customization ● Knowledge of Charging Protocols & Standards like IEC 61851 and Charging ports like CCS, Chademo, Type I & II etc., ● Knowledge on Charger Functionality & type of batteries and charging methodology. ● Strong problem solving and analytical skills , AFMEA , DFMEA & PFMEA. Failure Analysis of Electrical & Electronic components.
Responsibilities
The role involves the development, design, and implementation of EV charging systems and controls, including overseeing testing phases for compliance with various certifications. The engineer will also troubleshoot issues and contribute to the development of new features for charging protocols.
