Role: Lead Health and Safety Officer Location: Mainland Europe Duration: We are open to full-time permanent and contract positions. Salary and rates: Negotiable, depending on experience. MSL ISO45001 certified safety management system is fully implemented on site. This includes ensuring: not exclusively, Adequate provision for safety is made in planning projects. Supervisors implement the safety statement and comply with statutory requirements. Plant and machinery allocated for site is in accordance with regulations and inspected as required. All personnel recruited for or assigned to site are suitable for and competent to carry out work on site. Sub-contractors are aware of company policy and have confirmed that they will comply. Maintain daily presence onsite at all work fronts, check SPAs & Permits To Work are in place and adhered to correctly. Carry out Weekly Safety Audit. Carry out Weekly Safety Toolbox Talk. Attend Weekly Site Safety Inspection Walkdown. Complete Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS) as required. Encourage and promote the Companies participation onsite in the Safety Behavioural Program. Carry out Safety Observations and near-miss reports, log and track any findings until closed out. Weekly Inspection of Plant and Equipment & Update Register (lifting tackle, slings, harnesses, fire extinguishers etc.). Update SMS with GA2 & GA3 forms, MEWP checklists, SPAs etc. Ensure sub-contractors comply with MSL safety management system & their site-specific RAMS Update Training Needs Analysis & keep relevant records on file to demonstrate conformance with statutory regulations and to maintain all aspects of safety and health in the company. Order PPE and control of quantities / type issued. Attend monthly Safety Review and action any findings post review (incl. KPIs, Metrics, HSE Goals & any open action items etc.). Submit Weekly Site Hours Statistics. Attend Weekly Safety Officers Meeting. Attend Weekly Progress & Schedule Meeting. Attend Monthly Contractor Safety Committee Meeting. Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar Health & Safety role Dip in SHWW qualification or similar qualification Construction background preferable Good communication skills We provide a competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications.
