Description Bay Colony Beach Club located within Bay Colony is looking for a talented and customer service focused experienced Lead Host/Hostess. ABOUT BAY COLONY Bay Colony is one of Naples most upscale communities in Southwest Florida. The community is a private community within Pelican Bay and is embraced by a by a gracious perimeter. The meticulously manicured community which is spread across 200 acres is brimming with stately palm trees and luxuriant floral plantings while all the roadways are paved in brick. The residents of Bay Colony enjoy membership privileges in the Bay Colony Beach Club and Tennis Club. The Beach Club which is located on two miles of pristine beach offers a wide array of fine dining experiences, from casual to elegant, plus outdoor amenities including private beach, swimming pool, sun deck and Chickee bar. The Tennis Club features six courts and a Pro Shop. SUMMARY The Lead host/hostess oversees all the host/hostess set up, supplies, tasks before, during and after service. Responsible for overseeing the service of members and guests in the dining room. Greets and seats members/guests, maintains order and cleanliness and assures that member/guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. The Lead host/hostess oversees all the host/hostess set up, supplies, tasks before, during and after service. Assist with continuous training and assurance of all standards being maintained. Project a friendly and helpful attitude to all members and guests of the club. Answers phone and takes reservations and checks table reservation schedules and relay. Greets, seats, and distributes menus to members and guests. Put new menus in presentation books as needed. Make copies of new priced menus for servers for line-up. Takes event reservations and pencils in on floor plan binder. Checks emails and voicemails regularly and responds accordingly. Check tables to see if place settings are correct. Inspects all linens daily for proper appearance. Handles member/guest complaints and problems and brings them to managers attention immediately. Takes “to-go” orders. Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed. Attend daily pre shift/communication meeting. Complies with all laws/policies relating to the service of alcohol. Attends any food and beverage meetings. Report to work as assigned in neatly pressed uniform and in accordance with Club uniform, grooming and dress policies. All other duties as assigned. Previous Host/Hostess experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel or private club required Previous customer service or hospitality experience. Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems preferred, experience handling reservations or guest seating systems is a plus Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds (e.g., chairs).Previous host/hostess experience required. Previous Proficient in utilizing a computer required. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Excellent interpersonal/communication and customer service skills.
