Department Overview: Sardine, a busy lakeside bistro overlooking Lake Monona in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated Lead Host to become an integral member of our team. Under the direction of owners/chefs John Gadau and Phillip Hurley - co-founders of Sardine, Gates & Brovi, and Marigold Kitchen - we invite you to be a part of our service team. Anticipated Hours Per Week 20 - 25 Schedule: Lead Hosts are required to have evening and weekend availability and work a minimum of three dinner shifts. Dinner begins at 3:00 pm and Brunch begins at 8 am.  Salary/Wage Range: Hourly $15.00 to $25.00 Number Of Positions 1 Position Summary/Job Duties: Assist our management team in coordinating front-of-house operations to deliver a seamless guest experience and uphold Sardine’s high service standards. Responsibilities: * Greet and seat guests while managing reservations and waitlists. * Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally and positively. * Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. * Maintain a clean and organized dining area. Qualifications: * Host stand experience * Restaurant experience * Familiarity with POS systems * Professional and friendly demeanor * Excellent customer service skills * Providing our guests with consistent and welcoming service. * Exceptional multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Effective communication skills to create a welcoming atmosphere. * Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a drive to excel. Physical Demands Must be able to lift 25lbs and be on your feet.
