POSITION: LEAD HVAC/ELECTRIC/UTILITY/MECHANIC DEPARTMENT: PLANT SERVICES AND ENGINEER SHIFT: 7A-3:30P TO INCLUDE WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS STATUS: FULL TIME / 80 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD FACILITY: ATRIUM MEDICAL CENTER Supervise the Maintenance/Engineering Department, which includes facility maintenance, grounds life safety systems, and utility systems. Establish work standards for all employees. Maintain quality control and compliance with regulatory requirements. Is responsible for coordinating all day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Additional requirements: Preferred educational qualifications: Associates Degree Preference Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 10+ years of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Facilities management experience Preferred experience: Experience in Hospital setting preferred Other experience requirements: Knowledge of all plant equipment technology and general maintenance practices Knowledge/Skills Minimum level of experience Required: High School Graduate or GED. Must have successfully completed an accredited technical school in construction or facilities management Expected to plan, organize, and coordinate functions of the engineering and Maintenance department and to maintain the hospital’s environment in a according to regulatory requirements High knowledge of electrical systems both high and low voltage, switchgear, medical gas panels, fire systems, blueprints, programming, installation. Demonstrates leadership and management potential and ability of previous supervisory experience along with effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to identify, troubleshoot and coordinate correction of problems on equipment and system operations.
Responsibilities
Supervise the Maintenance/Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality control. Coordinate day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and establish work standards for all employees.
