WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in LNG industry.
  • Experience in floating LNG projects or has performed roles as Electrical Technical Officer will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Hands-on engineering experience in Instrument and Control engineering, vendor coordination, Process Control & Shutdown, DCS/SIS/FGS design, handling various telecoms systems design, engineering, solutioning, vendor documents reviews and site acceptance test in FEED/EPC projects
  • Familiar with both international and local codes & standards
  • Knowledge of SP tools and SPPID, SPI and SP3D is essential
  • Experience in field engineering, equipment installation, construction or commissioning in LNG or LNG terminal project in owner’s engineering team will be an added advantage

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Professional certification or training in control systems, functional safety or related areas is preferred.
Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for all instrumentation and control discipline engineering activities, including:

  • Reviewing engineering designs and preparing project scope of work, datasheets, requirements, calculations, analyses, and specifications.
  • Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables.
  • Providing field support during construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Validating engineering databases and coordinating closely with the project management team, other discipline engineers, and operations teams as the I&C discipline focal point within the SLNG project team.

Specific Duties

  • Serve as the focal point for the Instrument and Control discipline in the project team, working with facility owners, FEED consultants, EPC contractors, and equipment vendors.
  • Review, validate, and approve I&C discipline deliverables for capital projects, and develop such documents where required to support project delivery internally or through consultants.
  • Perform adequacy checks on proposals from engineering consultants, facility owners, EPC contractors, and equipment vendors, and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Participate in process safety studies, design reviews, and other required workshops.
  • Review documentation required for Singapore regulatory approvals and support consultants/contractors in obtaining the necessary authority clearances.
  • Coordinate with the project management team, other discipline engineers, and operations teams to review I&C engineering deliverables.
  • Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) before equipment shipment from vendor workshops.
  • Validate engineering databases (e.g., SmartPlant tools such as SP3D, SPPID, SPI) to ensure accuracy.
  • Review as-built deliverables and ensure all approved versions are uploaded into the document management system.
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and compliance with QA plans.
  • Assigned to site and support the Project Site Manager during construction and commissioning to ensure technical readiness for facility handover from engineering through construction, commissioning, delivery, and start-up.
