LEAD CLOUD MQ/ACE SPECIALIST W AZURE KUBERNETES:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Lead Cloud MQ/ACE Specialist w Azure Kubernetes for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

LEAD CLOUD MQ/ACE SPECIALIST W AZURE KUBERNETES - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves handling MQ on Azure Kubernetes Service-based containers and transitioning responsibilities to the existing MQ team. The role focuses on supporting IBM MQ and ACE/IIB products on cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure, OpenShift Container Platform, NonStop or Tandem (HP), Linux, and AIX.

LEAD CLOUD MQ/ACE SPECIALIST W AZURE KUBERNETES - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Post-secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an I.T. support role.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (preferred), OpenShift Container Platform, or equivalent cloud products (4-6 years).
• Experience with Linux, AIX, Windows, and Tandem (4-6 years).
• Experience with administering/troubleshooting IBM MQ or ACE (4-6 years).
• Experience in scripting, preferably Shell (4-6 years).

LEAD CLOUD MQ/ACE SPECIALIST W AZURE KUBERNETES – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience or understanding of IBM MQ, ACE, middleware technologies, and/or design techniques and tools.
• Certification on Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Ability to script using Shell, Python.
• Previous platform experience.
• Knowledge of domains, IP infrastructure, server operating systems, and domain registration standards.

• Lead in the building and maintenance of Messaging technologies on cloud & distributed platforms such as Microsoft Azure, OpenShift Container Platform, AWS, Linux, AIX, and Tandem (HP).
• Implement testing, reporting, documentation, and other services as required.
• Configure, install, and upgrade IBM MQ/ACE on Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Configure, install, and upgrade IBM MQ/ACE on distributed systems.
• Administer the MQ/ACE environments across the servers/pods where the MQ/ACE products exist.
• Automate certain manual processes that are currently handled.
• Involvement in various projects, such as Audit and TSS remediation.
