Job Description
The Lead Image Finaling (IMF) Artist serves as the main technical and artistic point of contact for the Image Finaling compositing team. They guide a small group of artists and ensure the delivery of high-quality final frames, balancing artistic standards with production constraints while fostering a strong team dynamic. They act as the bridge between the team and the Compositing and CG Image Supervisors.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Solid experience in Image Finaling for animated feature films (VFX experience is a plus)
  • Strong expertise in Nuke (mandatory)
  • Good understanding of stereo compositing and image continuity
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and retakes
  • Prior experience in team leadership
  • High autonomy, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Fluency in English (French is a plus)

OPTIONAL SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Katana, Arnold, and ShotGrid (Shotgun)
  • Knowledge of Python scripting for tool development
  • Understanding of 3D pipelines and animation workflows
  • Experience in creating and maintaining documentation and training materials
    Additional Information
    The person in this role will work closely with our Paris studio in a bilingual environment, as well as with international partners, talent, and clients. They will regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications, in order to present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale.
