ABOUT US:

Clovertech is a boutique AV services provider specializing in commercial AV programming, commissioning, and installation across corporate, education, government, and retail environments. We’re looking for a highly experienced and motivated Lead Installation AV Technician to join our growing team and lead installation efforts across diverse client sites.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Installation AV Technician is responsible for managing and executing the physical installation of AV/VC systems, while supervising AV Technicians on-site. This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical knowledge, independent problem-solving, and excellent communication with internal teams and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3+ years in commercial AV/VC installation with team leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams of AV Technicians or Engineers on multi-site projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AV equipment
  • Deep familiarity with AV/VC equipment:
  • Control: Crestron, QSC, Extron
  • Audio: Biamp, QSC, Poly
  • Video: Cisco, Poly
  • Ability to read and interpret AV system plans and perform necessary custom configurations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for resolving complex technical issues.
  • Must be agile, responsive, and highly professional with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and able to multitask independently.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be physically comfortable working with lifts, ladders, hand/power tools, and in various commercial environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification
  • OSHA 10/30, SST, scissor lift, or similar safety certifications
  • Familiarity with networked AV and IP-based control systems
Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation and de-installation of AV systems including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, control panels, and cabling infrastructure.
  • Terminate and test cables (CAT6, XLR, speaker wire, etc.) according to AV and electrical standards.
  • Assist with rack building and system setup processes.
  • Configure AV infrastructure and endpoints
  • Interpret and work from AV drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient installations.
  • Conduct pre-installation audits and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Perform post-installation assessments and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve complex AV issues on-site.
  • Manage RMA/break-fix documentation.
  • Act as the primary on-site technical lead and client-facing representative.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and internal leadership teams throughout project lifecycles.
