JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Instructional Learning Designer II to join our team. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for helping in the development of instructional materials and content to support effective learning experiences.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in instructional design, communication, education, or a related field plus 8+ years of experience
  • Experience in Automotive and Instructional Design.
  • Additional experience in retail or fixed ops a plus!
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A creative approach to designing engaging learning experiences
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to create comprehensive learning materials
  • Experience creation of storyboards
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that balances creative problem solving with drive to deliver outcomes

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Curriculum design, e-learning development Analysis
  • Asset / module development
  • Experience with the Articulate eLearning platform: Rise, Storyline, etc.
  • Experience with Agile project management theory
  • 3+ years of experience in a dealership role and/or 3+ years in a top tier consulting firm
  • 3+ years of dealership or automotive experience
  • Experience delivering assets and showing the impact of the work, you have done
  • Walk-Me or similar tool
  • Knowledge in the Tekion products
  • Experience with instructional design software and e-learning platforms may also be preferred
Responsibilities
  • Course Development: Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to design and develop instructional materials, courses, and learning modules.
  • Needs Analysis: Facilitate thorough needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audience, and performance gaps.
  • Content Design: Design interactive instructional content including, story boards, outlines, Learning activities.
  • Storyboarding: Assist in the creation of storyboards and outlines for instructional content, mapping out the flow and structure of learning materials.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and edit instructional materials for clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness. Ensure that content meets instructional design standards and guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with instructional developers, stakeholders, and other team members to gather feedback and make improvements to instructional materials.
  • Evaluation: Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of instructional materials and make recommendations for improvements.
