Company Description TOTAL E & P Job Description JOB PURPOSE The Lead Instrument and ICSS Engineer is responsible for leading the Instrumentation, ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety System), and Telecom disciplines for the FSO UNITY Replacement project. He ensures that the design, installation, and commissioning of control, command, and safety systems meet operational and safety standards. He plays a key role during the Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning phases to ensure a smooth handover to Field Operations. ACCOUNTABILITIES ▪ Engineering Leadership & Compliance: Lead ICSS, Instrumentation, and Telecom detailed engineering for the FSO asset. Ensure strict adherence to the Statement of Requirements (SOR), international standards (IEC 61511/61508), and Corporate technical specifications. Act as PICSO (Project Industrial Cyber Security Officer) for the Project when required. ▪ Deliverable Management: Drive the technical review of discipline deliverables within Prodom System. Optimize the review cycle to align with the Project Master Schedule and mitigate engineering bottlenecks. ▪ Systems Design & Validation: Ensure seamless integration of package PLCs into the ICSS of the FSO. ▪ Technical Coordination: Provide high-level expertise in Process Control (PCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Fire & Gas (F&G). Coordinate multidisciplinary activities and liaise with Headquarters (TEC) for technical deviations and specialized support. ▪ Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for core ICSS components. Act as the technical focal point for ICSS. ▪ Construction Supervision: Oversee shipyard installation of instrumentation and ICSS hardware. Ensure high standards of workmanship, focusing on loop integrity, cable routing segregation, and maintenance accessibility. ▪ Commissioning & Completion: Direct on-board pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Manage the Punch List resolution process for ICSS, instrumentation and telecom systems through to final handover and "Ready for Start-up" status. ▪ Operational Readiness: Infuse "Field" expertise into the project lifecycle to enhance FSO operability. Support the Start-up and Commissioning teams during "First Oil" and subsequent production ramp-up. ▪ Process Safety: Actively participate in HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA reviews, providing practical insights to ensure the functional safety and operational reliability of the FSO. Qualifications ▪ Qualification: Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation, Automation, or Control Systems). ▪ Experience: Minimum 15 years' experience as an ICSS/Instrument engineer in the Oil & Gas industry on majorprojects. ▪ Project experience: Experience in project engineering at all life-cycle stages (FEED, Detailed Engineering,Construction, and Commissioning) is required. Experience in shipyard supervision, site team, or commissioningof FPSO/FSO is strongly preferred. ▪ Language: Fluent in English (absolute mandatory).
