Position: Lead-Instrument Commissioning Engineer Company: KBR Project: ROO_EPCm Location: Basra-Iraq Job Purpose: The Commissioning Lead-I&C will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning activities related to Instrumentation and Control systems on the BP_ROO_EPCM project in Basra, Iraq. The individual will ensure that all I&C systems are properly tested, commissioned, and integrated into the overall project. Job Responsibilities: Develop commissioning plans and procedures for I&C systems in coordination with the project team. Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure proper installation and testing of I&C systems. Supervise a team of commissioning technicians and engineers. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on site. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning process. Ensure that all I&C systems meet project specifications and standards. Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams as needed. Working knowledge of Completions systems, ideally GOC (QEDI Go Completions) Rotating equipment large and small experience essential Knowledge of process systems, piping, materials, alignments, and working practices Experience in Water treatment plants in addition to Oil & Gas would be an advantage. Skills: Strong knowledge of Instrumentation and Control systems Experience in commissioning FEED, Design, onshore, Brownfield, and Construction Site projects. Good Communication in English and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Qualifications: Mandatory: Educated to Engineering level with professional qualifications and accreditation relevant to the role. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institution 20 years of overall experience and minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning Instrument systems Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred. Work Environment: The Commissioning Lead - Instrument will work on-site at the project location in Basra, Iraq. The work environment may involve exposure to construction sites, industrial equipment, and hazardous materials.
