ABOUT US

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue.
We’re looking for a Lead Integration Developer to join our Data Services and Integration team. This team supports the RNLI through the delivery of the integration roadmap in order to align our data services and enhance our data self-serve capabilities.

Responsibilities

As Lead Integration Developer, you will be responsible for leading a small team of Integration Developers in the creation, support, and optimisation of integrations between applications and data stores. Key areas of focus will be to:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that enable data exchange and interactions between various software systems.
  • Enhance API specifications, documentation, and guidelines to ensure consistent and effective API usage, supporting our data users in this process and driving best practices.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and IT teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into effective API integration solutions. Bring the team of Integration Developers along this journey to understand the end-to-end development process.
  • Build integrations that support real-time data synchronization, automate processes, and enhance user experiences.
  • Define data mapping and transformation logic to ensure accurate and seamless data flow between integrated systems with different data structures and formats.
  • Manage API lifecycle, versioning, and access control to ensure security and compliance.
