Responsibilities The Lead Interior Designer is responsible for the design of multiple projects, reviewing the quality of the work and advancing the design portfolio of the Interiors practice. Perform project related assignments Assess team skills and assign project work Mentor junior staff Assist in the development of the business plans of each sector as well as identify opportunities for prime interiors projects Participate in the marketing and pursuit of project work Identify and document completed projects to advance the firms' brand recognition Act as a visible brand ambassador for the organization both in professional organizations and conference settings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field Professional license/certification required 7 - 18 years of experience as a designer, at least 5 of which is in a supervisory/project management capacity Demonstrated advanced knowledge of materials, detailing, and construction techniques Record of design excellence Designer of multiple award-winning projects Proven design leadership skills with particular emphasis on mentoring and teaching Proven appreciation and commitment to expertise driven design solutions Sound understanding of the expertise within the firm Proven successful client relationships Advanced presentation and public speaking skills #LI-JK1
