What does the position look like?

As Lead IT Infrastructure, you are responsible for managing and further developing the IT Infrastructure team. You combine leadership with technical responsibility and serve as a key sparring partner for the IT Director, IT colleagues, and the organization. Your duties include, among others:

  • Leading and coaching the IT Infrastructure team, ensuring clear priorities, collaboration, and quality;
  • Designing, developing, and managing a secure, reliable, and future-proof IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, Purview, Azure, Windows Server, VMware, storage, and network and security solutions such as Fortinet;
  • Acting as technical lead on IT projects and implementations, from researching new technology to the successful commissioning of new systems and applications;
  • Further develop and monitor the IT architecture and initiate technological improvements and innovation;
  • Ensuring quality, continuity, and compliance, among other things by developing SOPs, monitoring processes, and providing structural solutions for technical issues.

As Lead IT Infrastructure, you combine technical expertise with leadership and organizational sensitivity. You can provide direction on the big picture, but are also capable of delving into the details when necessary. You recognize yourself in the following:

  • A completed higher professional education in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent level through education and relevant work experience;
  • Extensive experience in IT infrastructure and system administration, preferably in a senior, coordinating, or managerial role;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, security, and Microsoft solutions and the ability to translate these into the needs of the organization;
  • Experience with IT projects, technical implementations, and stakeholder management;
  • You are independent, accurate, and stress-resistant, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong quality- and collaboration-oriented character.

A good command of Dutch and English is important. In addition, you have knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other relevant regulations, or are willing to further develop your skills in this area.
