Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Location: Sydney.

Salary: AUD 108571 - 119893 Annual Gross.

• Key Skills RequiredStrong hands-on experience with Java 8+/11+/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Coding practices
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and version control best practices
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate, unit testing, and code quality tools
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and microservices
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations
• Participate in architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support production deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Preferred SkillsSpring Cloud, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Banking or Financial Services domain experience
