Job Details Job Location: FARMINGTON COUNTRY CLUB - CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA 22901 Position Type: Full Time Position Summary The Lead Laundry Aide is responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations at the country club, ensuring all linens, towels, uniforms, and specialty items meet the club’s high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and care. This role will play a key part in preparing and transitioning operations into the club’s new facility opening in March 2026, including helping establish workflows, training staff, and maintaining efficiency. The Lead Laundry Aide directly supervises four laundry team members and works hands-on alongside the team. Leadership & Supervision Lead, train, and supervise a team of four laundry aides Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and quality Provide on-the-job training for proper laundry techniques, safety, and equipment use Serve as point of contact for laundry operations in the absence of management Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment Laundry Operations Oversee washing, drying, folding, and distribution of towels, linens, uniforms, and specialty items Ensure proper sorting, chemical usage, and care for various fabric types Inspect items for cleanliness, damage, and presentation; remove and report damaged items Maintain inventory levels of linens; communicate needs to management Ensure timely turnaround to support locker rooms, food & beverage, golf operations, and events New Facility Transition (March 2026) Assist in setting up laundry operations in the new facility Help establish workflows, schedules, and storage organization Support training on new equipment and procedures Assist with opening readiness and post-opening adjustments Equipment, Safety & Standards Operate and oversee commercial washers, dryers, folders, and presses Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and reported for service when needed Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures (SDS compliance) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area at all times Qualifications Qualifications & Skills Previous laundry or housekeeping experience required; lead or supervisory experience preferred Experience in hotels, resorts, private clubs, or luxury hospitality environments a plus Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to lead by example and work hands-on Excellent attention to detail and quality control Reliable, flexible, and professional demeanor Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 40–50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced laundry environment Schedule & Work Environment Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Full-time position Indoor laundry facility with commercial equipment Benefits (if applicable) Competitive hourly pay Health, dental, and vision benefits (for full-time employees) Paid time off and holidays Uniforms and meals provided Opportunities for advancement within housekeeping or club operations
