Job Description We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join our regional logistics team as the Lead, Logistics Strategy & Performance. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of 5 Specialists, owning the design, analysis, and optimization of logistics performance, rider payments, and incentive strategies across our 17 diverse markets. You will own the strategic roadmap for rider payments and incentives, acting as the bridge between high-level business goals and on-the-ground operational reality. You will treat rider compensation as a critical operational lever. You will use it to optimize fleet behavior, improve delivery times, and solve supply challenges while ensuring financial sustainability and fleet stability. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Specialists. Build a culture of analytical rigor and curiosity, encouraging the team to challenge the status quo Strategic Roadmap & Governance: Define the long-term strategy for rider payments and incentives. Develop and enforce regional frameworks that allow for necessary local adaptations while maintaining consistency and financial discipline across the markets. Ensure compensation models align with broader business goals, logistics performance KPIs (e.g., delivery time), and profitability targets Budget Management & Efficiency: Oversee the rider payment and incentive budget and continuously monitor cost-per-order (CPO) trends. You will drive initiatives that improve cost-efficiency while ensuring sufficient rider supply and fleet retention Rollout of Models & Automation: Own the regional implementation of advanced data science models and automated tools Experimentation & Testing: Drive the testing and rollout of new pay components (e.g., dynamic pricing, surge models, quest incentives) to enhance fleet efficiency and order acceptance rates, ensuring every initiative is optimized for maximum ROI and operational impact Product Collaboration: Partner with the Central Product team to influence the development of payment-related features. You will translate business requirements into product requests, participate in testing, and ensure the successful adoption of new product capabilities across the region Stakeholder Management & Market Partnership: Act as the primary partner to Local Logistics Directors, Finance Leaders, and Product Managers. Build strong relationships with local market teams to understand their unique operational challenges and translate complex data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in high-growth tech, logistics, strategy consulting, or investment banking. Experience specifically in gig-economy, marketplace dynamics, or logistics is a strong plus Leadership: Proven track record (1-2+ years) of managing direct reports or leading complex cross-functional project teams Education: University degree in STEM, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field Technical Fluency: Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel is required to audit team work and dive into data when needed Communication: Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken. You are comfortable effectively challenging the status quo, and negotiating with senior stakeholders and leadership
