Job Details Job Location: Houston, TX 77041 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Facilities This position is responsible for performing thorough cleaning of industrial machines and equipment, as well as maintaining general cleanliness throughout the building. The cleaner works closely with the maintenance and production teams to ensure that machines are cleaned in accordance with company procedures and production schedules, without compromising safety or operations. The Machine and Facility Cleaner helps ensure the facility complies with all internal cleanliness standards and external health, safety, and environmental regulations. Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to cleaning staff based on cleaning schedules and priorities. Ensure that machines, work areas, and common areas are cleaned according to standards. Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, feedback, or retraining as needed. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and any issues reported. Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and tools. Assist with special projects such as event cleanup, reorganizing spaces, or emergency spill response. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial/facility cleaning, with 1 year in a leadership or team lead role. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for long periods. Must be able to work in hot, cold, or humid environments depending on facility conditions. Good communication and leadership skills. Follow safety rules and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, as needed.
