LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – 2nd SHIFT (Federal)

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains and repairs facility machinery and equipment while supporting all departments to provide quality die-castings for customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certifications: Industrial Maintenance Certification preferred; fork truck certification and/or tugger training required.
Experience: 3 years maintenance experience, preferred in a manufacturing automotive supplier, hot and changing environment and/or with casting, melt or metal forming.

Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibilities of supervisor/manager in their absence.
  • Identifies departmental priorities and assigns workforce appropriately.
  • Compiles end of shift reports as required.
  • Ensures team members are performing their jobs accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinates activities with other departments.
  • Coaches and mentors other team members.
  • Diagnoses equipment failures and performance issues.
  • Uses hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrates troubleshooting expertise using PLC logic and HMI controls.
  • Performs general welding and fabrication.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of 480V 3-phase electrical circuits.
  • Performs programming and fault recovery of 6-axis robotics.
  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
  • Installs and relocates facility machinery and equipment.
  • Completes checklist(s) and recordkeeping as applicable for assigned work area.
  • Meets expected productivity requirements for assigned area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours and overtime (OT) as assigned.
  • Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
  • Follows all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Policy regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment.
