POSITION SUMMARY:

AT&T Communications key priorities in 2025+ is to accelerate performance in growth areas which include winning in business wireless and fiber. The power of data-driven insights has never been more important as our customers continue to transform their business using the most updated market trends and positioning to help make informed strategic decisions to outpace our competitors. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive market forecast, insights, share and analysis of industry trends supporting Business Wireless and Wireline by acquiring raw information and data for use in analysis of market conditions. The analyst would research, curate, and develop information to analyze current/future products, trends, and penetration strategies. Research may include analyzing the company’s markets, competition, and product mix to evaluate product market share and forecast. May utilize statistical/data mining tools and large datasets, presenting results to leadership and product/marketing organizations. Provides consultation to all levels of marketing on the identification of marketing opportunities, and aids in the assessment of departmental opportunities for improvements in marketing information.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the industry subject matter expert for AT&T Business Products by accessing, verifying, organizing, analyzing and synthesizing market trends, competitive intelligence, earnings, economic indicators, and sales data.
  • Position is responsible for defining requirements for analysis, performing analysis and assessing potential business impact. Forecasts future market research needs in support of current and planned AT&T services to support leadership making strategic decisions on go to market plans. Provide year-over-year and variance analysis/drivers of updated market forecast.
  • Manage research studies and make presentations on new market areas and future market conditions.
  • Assess competitor’s quarterly earnings reports and provide key competitive insights on volume trends, pricing, product offers and distribution.
  • Ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and synthesis, leveraging a wide range of best-in-class market research and advanced analytics techniques
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Organize, plan, and develop holistic stories that integrate data from multiple sources and drive actionable insights for marketing teams and executives.
  • Leads cross-functional, advanced analytics initiatives in partnership with Product, Channel, Sales and Finance. Partner with cross functional teams to integrate data, insights, and formulate recommendations related to company strategies, new products, and/or marketing tactics.
  • Provides consultation to all levels of marketing on the identification of marketing opportunities, and aids in the assessment of threats to our market share and opportunities to improve our share position.
  • Requires capabilities to not only analyze market trends compared to AT&T strategies, but also effectively persuade in both written and verbal communications and differentiation compared to other market players and dynamics. Prepares presentation materials with clear reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findings. Presents findings to leadership in a persuasive, passionate, and articulate manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure research efforts are aligned with business needs
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous tracking platforms with support from outside research firms
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate data, insights, and form recommendations related to company strategies, new products, and marketing tactics
    Our Lead Market Research & Analysis earns between $130,700 - $196,100 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
