In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving the marketing strategy for our partner firm, ensuring alignment with sales goals, and effectively managing the marketing budget. Your leadership will influence the performance of the marketing team while ensuring that our marketing initiatives meet the ever-evolving needs of the market. You will collaborate with various departments to enhance product visibility and market penetration, setting the stage for innovation and growth. Your expertise will play a crucial role in developing promotional campaigns and managing relationships with stakeholders across different sectors. \n Accountabilities Direct U.S. OPT marketing to deliver annual sales and profit targets. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans in partnership with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with business leadership and product development to support product initiatives and launches. Hire, manage, train and develop OPT marketing staff. Manage department budget and compensation programs. Build productive relationships across stakeholders, including customers and vendors. Plan and manage promotional campaigns, trade show materials, sales meetings, and focus groups. Identify market trends and opportunities to strengthen commercial performance. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Minimum 12 years of progressive marketing and sales/sales management experience, preferably in the medical device industry. Minimum 5 years personnel management experience. Experience in capital equipment and consumables in the medical/surgical setting, particularly ophthalmology. Strong direct sales 'downstream marketing' experience mandatory. Exceptional marketing leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills. Polished oral presentation and written communication skills. Experienced in financial analysis and analysis tools (i.e., spreadsheets). Ability to work across functions, business sectors, and diverse markets.
