We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Product and Project Design team. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will have an overall responsibility of leading mechanical engineering activities for delivery projects and standard products. You will be working with Evac’s vacuum, wet waste, dry waste, wastewater treatment and fresh water treatment systems. Tasks include defining and reviewing mechanical engineering tasks, creating and maintaining product structures in PDM as well as planning and supervising internal and external design work. The position is located in Espoo, Finland.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering or another relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, including experience of working with standard products as well as experience in delivery project engineering.
  • Knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, piping, tanks as well as instruments and valves. Experience in designing steel structures.
  • Skilled 3D CAD + PDM user (Creo, Windchill and Autocad experience preferred).
  • Full proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible of delivery project design and support.
  • Mechanical engineering and technical support to product engineering and other functions.
  • Manage mechanical engineering work and resources.
  • Collaborate with other project team members to comply with project requirements and meet project schedules.
  • Serve as point of contact and provide technical support to external design resources, equipment vendors, and fabricators.
  • Review and approve drawings and documentation.
  • Maintain and develop project and product structures in PDM.
  • Continuously improve and develop on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness of the design.
