Description

Lead mechanical design efforts for new and existing products, with a focus on plastic part design and hardware integration. Contribute to the design of injection molding tools and ensure manufacturability of plastic components. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to mechanical engineers, supporting their technical development and ensuring high-quality engineering output. Ensure designs meet compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., CE, UL, RoHS) and internal robustness requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure effective mechanical-electrical integration. Conduct and lead mechanical design reviews, risk assessments and mitigation, program validation activities based on system-level reviews. Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, tools, and documentation practices. Provide hands-on support in designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting. Support Mechanical Engineering Manager in global efforts for estimating mechanical work scope and managing project outcomes. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, with proven expertise in plastic part design and hardware systems. Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory standards for plastic and hardware products. Proficiency in CAD design, experience with Creo/Pro Engineer is strongly preferred - 3D modeling, creation of drawings with GD&T, and data management. Demonstrated hands-on experience in prototyping and iterative design. Experience with FEA and CFD tools for design validation.
