Job Description STATIC EQUIPMENT DISCIPLINE SCOPE The scope includes, but is not limited to: Instrument Air Receivers Plant Air Receivers Air Dryer Vessels (Heatless/Heated) Filters, Separators Knock-Out Drums Pressure Vessels related to packages Associated static skids and mechanical packages KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Static Equipment Technical Authority Act as Lead Static Equipment Authority for: Pressure vessel design Mechanical integrity Offshore installation feasibility Enforce compliance with: ADNOC CoPs ASME Section VIII API 510 / 650 / 620 (as applicable) ISO pressure equipment standards Provide final technical approval on static equipment design packages Vendor & Package Engineering Oversight Review and approve: Vendor datasheets General Arrangement drawings Design calculations Weight & Center of Gravity data Validate: Design pressure & temperature Corrosion allowance Materials of construction Nozzle orientation & loads Ensure OEM compliance with: ADNOC pressure equipment regulations Offshore transport & lifting constraints Brownfield Equipment Integration & Offshore Feasibility Lead static engineering for: Deck load integration Space constraints Maintenance access & removal envelopes Review: Laser scan data As-built drawings Brownfield modification method statements Support: Hot work planning SIMOPS integration Mechanical Integrity, Fitness-for-Service & RBI Support: Mechanical integrity reviews Fitness-for-service assessments Remaining life evaluation (as required) Interface with ADNOC inspection teams for: RBI classification Inspection planning Hydrotest exemption cases (if applicable) Support to Safety Studies (HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID, SIL) Provide static equipment input on: Overpressure protection PSV sizing & discharge routing Vessel isolation philosophy Maintenance & access hazards Ensure safety actions are reflected in: P&IDs Layout drawings Vendor data Lifting, Transportation & Offshore Installation Engineering Review: Lifting plans & rigging studies Padeye locations & structural interface Transportation load cases Ensure: Vessel stability during lifting Offshore lifting safety factors are met Compliance with ADNOC offshore lifting standards Construction & Commissioning Support Provide OE support during: Equipment installation Alignment & leveling checks Hydrotesting & reinstatement Pre-commissioning walkdowns Verify readiness for: Mechanical Completion (MC) Ready for Startup (RFSU) Documentation, Registers & ADNOC Compliance Maintain discipline registers: Static equipment list Datasheet register Deviation & TQ logs Review and approve: Fabrication drawings Hydrotest packs Final as-built documentation Ensure: ADNOC document numbering system compliance Weekly discipline progress reporting ADNOC-SPECIFIC OFFSHORE SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES Enforce: ADNOC PTW requirements Offshore SIMOPS safety Dropped object prevention Validate: Equipment guarding Access platforms Emergency escape compatibility INTERFACE & COORDINATION The Lead Static Engineer shall closely coordinate with: EPC Mechanical & Piping Teams Structural Engineering Electrical & I&C Disciplines Compressor & Dryer OEMs ADNOC PMT, Operations & Inspection Teams SOFTWARE & TOOLS (MANDATORY) PV Elite / COMPRESS / Nozzle Pro SolidWorks / AutoCAD AVEVA E3D / PDMS (for equipment integration) MS Excel (engineering calculations & MTO) Navisworks (for review coordination) DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING Maintain and update all static equipment discipline registers, including: Static Equipment List Datasheet Register Vendor Drawing Register TQ & Deviation Log Review, verify, and approve all static equipment deliverables, such as: Datasheets GA & Fabrication Drawings Design Calculations Inspection & Test Records Hydrotest & Pre-commissioning Documents Ensure strict compliance with: ADNOC Document Numbering System ADNOC Document Control Procedures Project Master Document Register (MDR) Prepare and submit: Weekly Static Engineering Progress Reports Monthly Discipline Status Reports Verify and approve as-built static documentation and support the preparation of: Mechanical Completion (MC) Ready for Commissioning (RFC) Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) dossiers Support ADNOC audits, reviews, and close-out of static-related actions and deviation KEY DELIVERABLES Approved static equipment datasheets and specifications Vendor technical evaluation and recommendation reports Reviewed and approved GA/fabrication drawings FAT and inspection reports As-built documentation and equipment handover dossiers Interface and equipment registers Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering ADNOC Offshore approval (or eligibility) Certification/Training in pressure vessel design or inspection is an advantage Additional Information Minimum 16+ years of Oil & Gas EPC experience in Static Equipment engineering Minimum 7–10 years’ experience on ADNOC Offshore / offshore projects
