Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and mission-driven Lead Mechanical System Designer to join our team. The Sales team generates prospective customer leads and provides the initial building assessment. After a strategic review by the management team, the opportunity may be assigned to the Lead Mechanical System Designer. The designer is responsible for designing and pricing mechanical solutions for energy savings. The project may be developed at the desk or require a site visit by the designer, depending on the complexity of the upgrade or replacement and the details provided by the initial building assessment.
The designer will work with our inside team of energy engineers to ensure the equipment they specify meets the energy savings thresholds required to qualify for the utility incentives. Interaction with supply houses and subcontractors may be needed for additional application assistance and pricing of equipment, materials and labor. The relevant code books must be referenced and reviewed to ensure code compliance when developing projects. The designer will generate an Executive Summary description of pre and post conditions of their design for proposed projects, The designer may be required to accompany the seller on presentations for more complex technical proposals. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
