Position Details Location: Menomonee Falls, WI (Town Hall Health Center) – On-Site FTE: 1.000 (open to lowering to 0.800 or 0.900 FTE) Standard Hours: 40 (open to lowering to 32 or 36 hours) Shift: 1 Schedule: TBD. Clinic is open Monday-Friday. Additional Information: There are 9 providers and 16 MA’s within the department. Job Summary: The Lead Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional who is an essential member of the patient-centered health care team. This individual is responsible for assisting the manager/supervisor with daily operations, which include staff assignments and acting as a resource for the patients, providers and support staff in the absence of the manager/supervisor. The Lead MA can also be responsible for assisting with new employee on-boarding and orientation as well as ongoing training for all medical assistants. This individual will act as a liaison to the manager/supervisor regarding issues resolution. The Lead MA will also be expected to perform all tasks of a MA and MA Senior. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: 1 year of experience as medical assistant or in the field of the credential held is required. 2 years of experience in designated specialty and/or other ambulatory setting preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: HS Diploma or GED is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: One of the following is required: Military Medic/Corpsman training (must also obtain one of the certifications or licenses below within 6 months of hire), Credentialed in ABR-OE (Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NRCMA - Medical Assistant through the National Association for Health Professionals, CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant through the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE), Certified Paramedic, Advanced EMT, OR Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program and current active LPN license. If hired as a Lead prior to 1/1/26, have 6 months to obtain one of the certifications/licenses listed above. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
