Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist – Lab Administration Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231 Work hours: Full-time – Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Lab Department highlights: · Fast-Paced, high-complexity · Collaborative team atmosphere dedicated to quality results and patient care · Up to date instrumentation and automation Here’s What You Need · Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science required · Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program required · Four years’ experience in a Medical Laboratory required · Two years of hospital lab experience preferred · Two years of leadership experience preferred · Proficient knowledge of CAP/CLIA, and TJC regulations, PolicyConnect, and Sharepoint site management preferred · CAP inspection experience and Knowledge of Quality Management System components preferred · Licensed MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist within 6 months required or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist within 6 Months required or other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology Upon Hire required or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology within 6 months required or BB (ASCP) - Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank within 6 months required What You Will Do Reviews, evaluates, and oversees corrective action for monthly QC proficiency testing Provides problem solving expertise and leadership skills in technical training, information systems, and workload problems. Participates in yearly CAP checklist Serve as a technical expert to educate staff, respond to nursing requests, and collaborate with other departments and teams regarding collections Makes adjustments for workload, maintenance and unscheduled workflow problems. Perform interviews, evaluations, and competencies to meet laboratory and hospital compliance requirements Assists in technical troubleshooting.
