Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Lead Medical Records Technician (HIM Quality and Data Analytics) position is to collect, produce, and distribute daily reports to all areas of Health Information Management. This includes maintaining and tracking any software issues and reporting them to HIM Management. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Collects designated data from all areas of Health Information Management (HIM) to produce a daily report and distributes it to all HIM staff. Performs imaging quality audits using sample sizes determined by HIM Management. Produces reports from systems such as:3M, Sovera, Epic,Eprint and Any other current or future systems used directly or indirectly by HIM, as needed for data sets determined by HIM Management. Maintains a log of issues reported by specific vendors. Compiles and produces quality and productivity statistics for all HIM areas, including but not limited to: Inpatient Coding Outpatient Coding Release of Information Imaging Qualifications What You’ll Bring High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in medical records-related work required. Alternatively, completion of at least one (1) year and continued enrollment in a HIM or HIT program may be considered in lieu of experience. Prior experience with Clintegrity 360 encoder and Epic electronic health record is a plus. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to perform job functions, follow directions, and make decisions without direct supervision. Must have working knowledge of computers and internet navigation. Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office required, especially Excel, Outlook, and shared files. Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and organized. Must demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with internal and external customers. May be required to work evenings and weekends.
