Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead Medical Scribe & Executive Assistant to support our ICU department. This dual-role position combines clinical scribe responsibilities with administrative coordination, including scheduling, hiring, and managing communication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure efficient workflow and proper coverage. Job Duties Clinical Scribe & Scheduling - Serve as the lead scribe in the ICU, working Monday through Friday mornings. - Create and manage the ICU scribe schedules to ensure adequate coverage. - Address any scheduling conflicts and make necessary adjustments promptly. - Plan and organize monthly scribe meetings. Executive Assistant - Monitor and respond to faxes, voicemails, and other communications as needed. - Handle incoming mail and deposit checks promptly. - Verify insurance information on billing sheets daily and coordinate with the billing team to resolve discrepancies. Hiring & Team Management - Oversee the hiring process for new scribes, including reviewing resumes and conducting interviews. - Ensure proper onboarding and training for new hires. Requirements - Must be able to type at a speed of 60-70 words per minute or greater. - Candidates must be at least 20 years of age with a strong knowledge base of medical terminology. Familiarity with vocabulary used in the ICU setting is highly preferred but not required. - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while accompanying the physician during rounds and patient visits. - Must be capable of handling highly confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential. - Proficiency in scheduling and administrative coordination is required.
